Built for your opening

Weatherstripping on the back of the frame seals against the mounting surface.

Turn buttons retain the panel and allow removal for access and cleaning.

Provide the intended finished panel dimensions and photos of the mounting surface. Door-adjacent locations require a safety-glazing review.

Before you order

Check the primary window for damage and leaks. Measure at the exact mounting position, note the depth, and take photos of the full opening and sill. Record all four sides to 1/16 inch and keep each measurement separate. We review non-square openings, hardware clearance, glazing, and any dividing mullions before the manufacturing dimensions are finalized.

Interior window measurement guide

Specialty glass and oversized panels require a confirmed quote. Shipping, installation, and project-specific work are separate from the product price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Interior Storm Windows Replace the Original Window?+

No. They add a second layer on the room side while the original window remains in place. Repair water leaks, loose glazing, or decayed wood in the primary window before installing an interior panel.

Which Colors and Glazing Can I Choose?+

Frames are available in White, Almond, and Brown. Clear glass, Low-E glass, and acrylic have standard pricing. Tempered glass, tempered Low-E, and laminated glass require a project quote.

How Should I Measure an Interior Storm Window?+

Measure all four sides where the frame will mount, to the nearest 1/16 inch. Record the top and bottom widths and both side heights separately. Do not average them or subtract an installation allowance. Include mounting depth, obstructions, and any out-of-square or bowed areas for review.

When Does a Window Need a Custom Quote?+

Specialty glazing, irregular openings, mullions, shallow mounting depth, and large panels need review. Standard glass is limited to 25 square feet and 125 united inches. Double-hung assemblies taller than 72 inches need review. Freight and final manufacturing measurements must be confirmed before production.

Can I Use These Near a Door or Floor?+

Tell us if the panel is within 12 inches of a door or 18 inches of the floor. The manufacturer requires acrylic or tempered glazing in those locations. Confirm all project requirements with your installer before ordering.
