In practice, yes. Bronze is the industry term and brown is what most people type into a search box, but on a storm window they describe the same thing: a deep warm brown finish on the aluminum. Dark. It reads as a deep chocolate brown rather than a metallic or coppery bronze, and in shadow it can look close to black. On a sunlit elevation the warmth becomes obvious, which is exactly the point: against red brick or stained wood it looks related to the surroundings in a way a neutral black does not.

Usually closely, but brown-clad windows vary a good deal between manufacturers, from warm chestnut through to near-black espresso. Ours is a mid-to-dark warm bronze.
