About this storm window
A custom round-top fixed storm window with a flat sill and curved head. Enter the full bottom width and center rise to describe the opening, then confirm the final profile before fabrication.
Benefits
- Custom curved frame protects round-top and low-rise arched openings
- Fixed glass improves weather protection while keeping the original shape visible
- Slim aluminum construction limits visual interruption
- Made-to-order sizing fits openings that stock panels cannot serve
Why you'll love it
- Designed specifically for curved architectural windows rather than trimmed down from a rectangular unit.
- A practical way to protect specialty glass while preserving the exterior design.
Product specifications
- Custom sizes up to 72" wide by 36" high
- Frame finishes: Mill (Silver), White, Tan, Bronze, Black
- Glass options: clear, P62 obscure, or tempered safety glass
- Fixed, non-venting configuration without a screen
What's built into the frame
- Offset frame. The frame sits out from your existing window, leaving clearance around it and a layer of still air between the two windows.
- Fits slightly out-of-square openings. A peel-type mounting flange lets the frame size be adjusted for an opening that is not perfectly square.
- Flexible mounting gasket. A dual-density gasket around the mounting flange acts as a thermal break, reducing energy transfer through your existing window.
- Powder-coated finish. A durable powder-coat finish holds its color.
How to measure
- Record the complete bottom width and the rise to the highest point of the curve.
- Measure from the exterior mounting surface and keep the tape housing clear of the reading.
- Include a straight-on exterior photograph for shape confirmation.
Installation and care
- Center the panel carefully before beginning the fastening sequence.
- Work evenly around the curve and avoid overtightening any single point.
- The frame does not come with pre-drilled installation holes. Use the correct drill bit to make pilot holes, then fasten it with suitable exterior wood screws.
- Apply exterior-grade caulk across the top and down both sides. Do not caulk the bottom edge.
- Exterior storm windows have weep holes at the bottom of the frame so moisture that collects between your existing window and the storm window can drain out. Never caulk over the weep holes.

FAQs
What is the Round-Top Picture Storm Window?
The Round-Top Picture Storm Window is an exterior storm window made to the exact width and height of your opening. It fits a picture window or other non-opening window. It is a fixed storm panel that covers the opening without moving.
Does the Round-Top Picture Storm Window include a screen?
This is a fixed panel, so it has no screen.
Which frame colors does the Round-Top Picture Storm Window come in?
Silver (mill), White, Tan, Bronze and Black. Choose the frame color on the product page after you enter your measurements; the preview image updates to match.
How do I measure for the Round-Top Picture Storm Window?
Choose how your window mounts: blind stop, overlap or window track. Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom and record every reading exactly as measured. Measure the height down both sides, stopping at the bottom of the drop on a drop sill or at the highest point of the sill on a standard sill. Do not add or subtract an allowance. We keep the readings for fit review and build only to the dimensions confirmed for the order. Our picture window measuring guide covers each step.
Which mounting method am I?
Look at how an exterior storm window would attach. If there is a blind stop, a narrow strip of trim set against the window frame, it attaches into the blind stop. If the window has flat casing around it and the storm would sit on the outside face of that trim, it is an overlap mount. If the window has a screen track the storm can slide into, it is a window-track mount. Choose yours in our measuring guide and the steps change to match; if you are not sure, send photos and we will tell you.
Do you add or subtract anything from the measurements I enter?
No. Enter every measurement exactly as taken. Do not add overlap or subtract clearance. We keep all readings for fit review and build only to the dimensions confirmed for the order.
Is the Round-Top Picture Storm Window right for my window?
Choose a fixed panel when the window does not open and you do not need ventilation. For a window that opens, compare our two-track and triple-track styles.
Does the Round-Top Picture Storm Window have weep holes?
Yes. Exterior storm windows have weep holes at the bottom of the frame so moisture that collects between your existing window and the storm window can drain out. Never caulk over the weep holes.
What affects the price of the Round-Top Picture Storm Window?
The width and height you enter, the frame color and the glass you select set the price shown on the product page. Oversized openings may need a quote, and shipping and tax are calculated at checkout.
